Our Client is seeking a Pre-K Head Teacher to work in Manhattan, NY.

CLIENT'S HOURS

8am-4pm and 9am-5pm Mon-Fri

CLIENT'S SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

Work within the framework of the sponsoring agency of the child care center and carry out its functions, policies, and procedures

Interact frequently, affectionately and respectfully with all children every day

Be available and responsive to children's needs, questions and requests

Encourage and model social behavior and expectations that are developmentally appropriate

Intervene and plan in order to maintain safety

Supervise given group of children at all times

Maintain accurate attendance records

Complete appropriate paperwork (accident reports, allergy lists, etc.)

Create and implement rich and developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the needs and interests of the students, with a focus on intellectual, social, emotional and physical growth

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

BA in Early Childhood Education or related field and NYS Education Department Early Childhood Certification (birth to 2nd)

Certified (birth to 2nd) with MA in Early Childhood Education or in a program which will guarantee permanent certification and its completion preferred

Possess good computer skills

Must be able to stand for the majority of day, bend to child's eye level, and perform all activities with children
