Key Responsibilities
Assigns codes for diagnoses, treatments, and procedures according to classification systems
Reviews and queries physician assigned diagnosis codes for accuracy
Enters and validates codes and charges while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines
Required Qualifications
CCS-P or CPC certification required
Two years of experience in Cardiology coding
Two years of experience in Evaluation and Management (E / M) coding
Familiarity with professional billing and coding for various specialties
Extensive knowledge of coding conventions and payer guidelines
