Responsibilities Work in the Women's Health Birthing Center with 1 triage room, 3 LDRP rooms, and 2 flex rooms Patient population includes labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care Approximately 250 deliveries per year with varied patient census per shift One-on-one care provided during active labor and certain infusions Rotating 8 and 12 hour shifts, primarily evenings and nights, occasional day shifts Requires working every 3rd weekend and every other holiday Uses Epic for documentation and OBIX for EFM strip archiving Travelers may occasionally be required to float to other hospitals in the Central Region Each shift is staffed with 2 RNs or 2 RNs and 1 CNA Responsible for comprehensive nursing care throughout the birthing process, including postpartum and newborn care One week of orientation provided to both the organization and department Scrubs are hospital supplied and laundered Immediate support from another in-house RN during each shift Travelers may be floated to Wausau, Merrill, or Langlade as needed Holiday coverage required for every other holiday Requirements Active WI or compact RN license Current BLS and NRP certifications required Proof of Basic Electronic Fetal Monitoring course completion required Minimum recent experience in labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery / newborn care Experience with basic medical / surgical patients required STABLE and ALSO certifications preferred but not required Experience using Epic EMR and OBIX system preferred Knowledge of Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative preferred but not required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624176.
