About The Position

Description :

2 years of experience is required.

Traveler will be required to work with babies.

This position may involve being the only respiratory therapist on duty during night shifts.

Local candidates are acceptable.

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is required.

Experience with Bubble CPAP, transcutaneous monitoring (TCOM), Hamilton G5 ventilators, Philips V60 NPPV devices, and Percussionaire VDR is essential.

Knowledge of Respironics and RedMed is necessary.

The traveler must be able to handle newborn babies requiring resuscitation and high flow setups.

Decision-making skills and critical thinking are essential for discussing care plans with physicians.

The schedule will include working at least every third weekend, with holidays as needed.

No requests for time off will be accepted in the first 2 weeks.

A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is permitted thereafter.

Travelers are expected to float within the facility and across the system.

The ability to work independently on two shifts per week is important.

Previous charge experience and familiarity with Epic charting systems are preferred.

Background checks with no felony hits are required.
