AB Staffing is looking for experienced Occupational Therapists (OT) for the upcoming school year.

Salary : $45-$48 / hr. DOE and location.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university.
  • Must possess or be eligible for an Occupational Therapist License in the State of New Mexico.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience in a school and / or pediatric setting(s) preferred.
  • BLS / CPR Cert.

Job Description :

  • Caseload and details of position / classroom type will differ based on school location.
  • Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom and best suits your experience and skillset.
  • Contract follows the academic district calendar.

    • Occupational Therapist (OT) Duties :

  • Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
  • Competent care rendered to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
  • Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
  • Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
