Spray Technician (Pesticide Applicator) - Landscape and Horticulture
Golden Ocala boasts a refined landscape in the French provincial format with formal hedges, classic gardens and manicured lawns. We are looking to add a team-oriented individual with a passion for beautiful landscaping, professional service and the golf country club atmosphere. This is a high expectation position with the focus on continuing to foster a team environment while enhancing conditions in and around the Club House, common areas, Gates, access areas and golf course beds. Our team concentrates our effort into creating a unique development plan to enhance each team member's skills and focus on work-life balance as a key component. The Spray Technician will work 40 hours per week and a few hours on Saturday once per month. Key Responsibilities
- Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers safely and effectively to common areas, including club grounds, pathways, gardens, and residential landscapes.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify pest issues and recommend appropriate treatments.
- Maintain accurate records of applications, inventory, and compliance with state regulations.
- Operate and maintain spray equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and environmentally responsible practices.
- Collaborate with the landscaping team on integrated pest management strategies.
- Perform tasks independently or as part of a team, following established protocols to achieve consistent results.
Qualifications and Requirements
2-5 years of experience as a spray technician in a professional residential, commercial, or municipal environment.Valid Florida Pesticide Applicator License (Ornamental and Turf) preferred; candidates without must be willing and able to obtain certification within six months of employment.Strong attention to detail and meticulous approach to work.Self-directed with the ability to work independently or in a team setting.Proven track record of following set protocols, using PPE and equipment correctly, and delivering effectual, prompt, consistent, and dedicated performance.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity typical of Florida.What We Offer
