Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Construction Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
Experience : : Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction contract management or legal advisory roles.

Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Contract and Legal Specialist to oversee the preparation, review, and management of construction contracts and ensure full legal and regulatory compliance. This role also requires a strong understanding of estimating principles and bid documentation to support the tendering process and mitigate contractual risks. The ideal candidate will bring a solid legal background, combined with practical construction industry experience, to support successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of construction-related contracts, including, owner contracts, subcontractor agreements, consultant contracts, and supply agreements.
- Ensure all contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
- Provide legal and contractual support throughout the tendering, pre-award, and post-award phases.
- Review and interpret bid documents, scopes of work, specifications, and estimating packages to ensure contractual accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with estimating and procurement teams to ensure alignment of bids with legal and contractual requirements.
- Identify and advise on risks in bid documents, proposals, and contract terms during the tendering stage.
- Provide guidance on claims management, change orders, extensions of time, and dispute resolution.
- Assist in the resolution of contractual disputes, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation support.
- Maintain accurate and organized contract records, correspondence, and documentation.
- Monitor contract execution to ensure obligations are met and risks are mitigated.
- Keep current with construction laws, industry standards, and best practices.
- Advising on contract interpretation and risk allocation.
- Supporting bid / tender processes with contractual input.
- Managing claims, change orders, and contract amendments.
