Job Description
AECOM seeks a Nuclear Engineering Technical Lead to head our growing US Nuclear engineering team, providing project technical leadership and team development on various energy projects and programs. The ideal candidate is dynamic, self-directed, and decisive with strong technical competence to deliver innovative energy projects.
The responsibilities of this role include :
- Team supervision and leadership
- Supporting Department Manager in advancing technical excellence and accountability
- Supervising, mentoring, and leading a team of engineers for technical development
- Leading improvements in project efficiencies
- Providing input to management on project resourcing and staff forecasting needs
- Developing technical approaches and supporting business development activities
- Actively supporting recruiting efforts
- Supporting projects from feasibility to commissioning
- Directing multi-discipline technical teams
- Performing engineering calculations and providing quality control reviews
- Ensuring technical and safety standards are met
- Participating in client meetings and presenting engineering work
Level Specific Responsibilities :
Coordinating and providing technical expertise for mid-to-large projectsLeading technical client relationships and selling effortsLeading technical department efforts to grow expertiseProviding specialized technical input and approving workLeading technical business development and being a leader in technology areasQualifications
Minimum Requirements :
BS / BA in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university + 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combinationPE LicensePreferred Qualifications :
5+ years of team supervision experienceExperience in engineering design within thermal or fossil power generation facilities7+ years as a discipline technical lead on power generation engineering design projectsPhysical design experience for industrial facilitiesDemonstrated experience in complex programs and teamsPassion for developing talented technical teamsExperience with full EPC, Design / Build projects and collaborative 3D model environmentsAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits and is committed to delivering a better world.
