Description :

The position involves working in a cardiac intensive care unit with an 18-bed capacity.

Staffing ratios for days and nights are 1 : 2 for patients.

This role requires floating to ICU cluster and medical surgical / telemetry units with a ratio of 1 : 4.

The highest acuity and specialty equipment patients are managed by core staff.

Candidates must possess certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIH.

Experience with management of arterial lines, ventilators, and care of critically ill patients is necessary.

Additional responsibilities include blood product administration and central line management.

The unit cares for a wide range of patient diagnoses including post-operative cardiac surgery and renal transplants.

Interdisciplinary support is available from various healthcare teams.

COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are required with medical or religious exemptions only.

All travelers must be open to floating as necessary throughout the facility.
