Job Description

A large retail client of Insight Global is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join their team. This person will be joining a new team within the AI space. This team is working on implementing a new low code / no code AI tool that will operate as an internal search engine. This tool integrates with tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc. This person will be expected to talk to vendors and internal stakeholders to assist with the implementation and integration of this product. This person will help with monitoring and observability, automation of processes, incident response, and reliability and uptime. This team is looking for someone who is interested in getting into a growing space, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited to learn.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in systems engineering, platform support, DevOps, or site reliability roles.
  • Strong familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, especially BigQuery, Cloud Logging, IAM, and Services Accounts.
  • Proven experience supporting third-party SaaS platforms in an enterprise environment. (Atlassian tools)
  • Comfortable debugging logs, analyzing query performance, and writing or tuning SQL in BigQuery.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including vendor partners.
  • Experience triaging platform-wide issues and coordinating incident response.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a bias for action and continuous improvement.
  • Passion for user-centric tooling and enabling others through great platform experiences.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Github Actions experience
  • Experience with enterprise AI platforms (, Glean, Coveo, Sinequa, etc.).
  • Prior experience enabling AI agents, chatbots, or LLM-integrated workflows.
