About The Position

Job Title : Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Profession : Cardiac Cath Lab

Shift : DAYS

Hours per Shift : 10 hours

Experience : 2 years in an interventional setting

License : Active RN License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Must-Have :

Must have 2 years of experience in an interventional setting.

Experience with STEMI program, IABP, Impella, closure devices, CSI, Laser atherectomy.

Description :

Must have EP experience.

The unit has 12 holding bays, 3 cath labs, 2 electrophysiology labs, and 1 hybrid suite.

Patient ratios are not applicable.

CCL and EP teams include 3 team members : scrub, circulate, and monitor.

Type of equipment used includes GE and Philips.

The documentation system is Meditech.

Scheduling requirements include 4 ten-hour shifts with call for the cath lab.

Floating is required as needed.

Procedures performed include heart catheterizations, biopsy, peripheral catheterization, and PPM / ICD / CRT implantation.

AIDET training is preferred for enhancing patient experience.

Dress code : RN scrubs must be royal blue (proof of purchase required).

Nail policy requires clean and healthy nails, no artificial nails or gel.

Hair should be neat and clean, with no extreme styles or colors.

Beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed.

Hair must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer while working in the lab.

Tattoos should be covered whenever possible.

Visible piercings, other than ears, are prohibited.

These include nose rings and tongue rings.
