Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service : greet guests, answer questions, assist with gaming needs, promote promotions, and build guest loyalty through outstanding service.
• Support the shopping environment, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships to drive sales and repeat business.
• Process guest purchases / returns using the POS system accurately and efficiently, ensuring high-quality guest service.
• Respond to guest inquiries in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate.
• Promote GameStop guest benefits (e.g., reservations, trade-in program, Pro Rewards).
• Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates; provide feedback on performance.
• Ensure onboarding and training for associates is completed prior to opening or closing shifts; maintain knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, and safety practices.
• Schedule associates, manage staffing levels for optimal guest service, and supervise in the Store Manager's absence.
• Approve payroll, manage paid time off and time edits, and verify compensation accuracy.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, merchandising per guidelines, and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and manage inventory control and loss prevention.
• Support meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete required administrative duties.
• Conduct stock counts, restock shelves, and ensure products are organized and represented on the sales floor.
• Balance daily transactions, complete closeout paperwork, and ensure adequate cash and deposits.
• Verify shipments for discrepancies; conduct inventories and report issues to Store / District Manager.
• Process defectives / recalls and stock pulls; label boxes and include packing lists.
• Maintain associate and guest safety; report injuries per guidelines.
• Maintain store records and ensure manuals are up to date.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the Store Manager's absence.
• Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures and opening / closing procedures.
