Typical Working Day : They will be performing Rack & Stack and cabling between cabinets on servers and network assets in a data center.
The Tech will need to install, test, label and dress both fiber and copper cabling.
They should know how to terminate copper.
They will need to reboot a device and have general familiarity with how severs work.
Experience using a Fluke cable tester would be highly preferred.
Must be physically able and comfortable with working on ladders as high as 12 feet off the floor, while routing cable in overhead mgmt. trays.
Able to lift and install devices that can weigh over 50 lbs. (will use a server lift and always work in teams)
They are occasionally asked to be on trouble shooting calls or speak to the client, so the ability to communicate effectively and professionally is important.
Must be comfortable working both independently and as a team, in a very fast paced / busy data center environment.

Years of Experience needed : 2+ years working in a data center
(If they have been leading team(s) for several years, they may not be a good fit as we need someone with boots on the ground)
Level of Education : H.S Diploma
Systems / Software proficiencies : Microsoft Office Suite (confident working with Excel spreadsheets, Outlook email, and Teams)
Certifications / Licenses : N / A
