A Business Development Manager is responsible for pursuing new sales while growing and maintaining customer relationships. This position will develop relationships, anticipate customer needs, trouble shoot problems, and close sales. All employees are expected to carry out the company's purpose and demonstrate our core values. The Business Development Manager must reside in Central Ohio due to territory coverage.
As a Business Development Manager at Schill Grounds Management, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job :
- Research and identify potential clients for our landscaping and snow removal services.
- Call on prospective clients, seek out, and build relationships with key decision-makers in these organizations.
- Work with other Schill team members to develop proposals that speak to the client's needs and concerns.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to result in a positive outcome.
- Anticipate customer needs and make suggestions to enhance current or future locations.
- Attend industry functions and stay abreast of market trends.
- Be prepared to educate potential clients on current landscaping trends and practices.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
