Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with RDCS certification and at least one year of experience for day shifts and on-call coverage.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Cardiac Stress Lab specializing in echocardiography and cardiac stress testing
  • Perform Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Cardiac Stress testing
  • Use and document within Epic EHR and PACS systems
  • Day shift schedule, typically 8-hour shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, with consideration for 10-hour shifts
  • Call coverage includes one weekend per month and possible night call
  • No local candidates; must live more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Responsible for preparing and monitoring patients before and during cardiac procedures
  • Expected to administer imaging enhancement agents in accordance with department policies
  • Must document findings and critical observations using the electronic health record
  • Pass / fail EKG testing required on first day, with up to two attempts and study guides provided
  • Adherence to safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality policies is required
  • No local candidates accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by ARDMS required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum of one year experience as a Cardiac Sonographer required
  • Ability to perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams
  • Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation criteria
  • Experience with Epic EHR and PACS preferred
  • Associate’s degree in a relevant health science field preferred
  • License required if applicable
