Role Overview

We are seeking a Reconstruction Estimator to join our team. This role is critical in producing accurate, timely, and detailed estimates that drive our ability to serve clients and win projects. You will work closely with project managers, adjusters, and property owners to ensure estimates reflect both the technical scope of work and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform onsite inspections of residential and commercial losses, documenting conditions and scope.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates using Xactimate (required), with experience in Symbility a plus.
  • Review drawings, specs, and code requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with Project and Construction Managers to align estimates with job scopes.
  • Negotiate approvals with insurance carriers, TPAs, and clients.
  • Track budgets, change orders, and progress against estimate.
  • Maintain thorough documentation : photos, scope notes, cost breakdowns.
  • Communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders throughout the reconstruction process.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of estimating experience in reconstruction, restoration, or general contracting .
  • Strong proficiency in Xactimate (required); Symbility a plus.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and insurance guidelines.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Proven negotiation skills with carriers, TPAs, and property owners.
  • Experience with both residential and commercial projects preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and local travel to job sites required.
  • IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, etc.) preferred.
