We are seeking a highly skilled Permanent CNC Machinist for our 2nd shift operations. This exciting role is within our dynamic Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, ensuring the manufacturing process is efficient, safe, and produces high-quality parts. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of machining processes, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to precision. Job Details

Responsibilities :

1. Setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC machines to perform precision machining operations.

2. Interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production.

3. Ensuring machines are properly maintained, in good condition, and are operating safely.

4. Checking completed work for conformance to specifications using precision measuring tools like micrometers.

5. Detecting malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusting machine controls as required.

6. Meeting production deadlines while maintaining the highest level of quality control.

7. Collaborating with team members to improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency.

8. Maintaining a clean and safe work area in accordance with company standards.

Qualifications :

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC machinist in a manufacturing environment.

2. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational training program in CNC machining or a related field is preferred.

3. Extensive knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques.

4. Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and understanding tight tolerances.

5. Strong understanding of the mechanical aspects of the machine operation.

6. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

9. Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.

10. Willingness to work the 2nd shift and overtime as required.

11. Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
