As a Security Guard - Airport in Queens, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout transportation locations. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, assisting travelers, and providing outstanding customer service through clear communication. Pay Rate : $20.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday 05 : 00 AM - 01 : 00 PM

Tuesday 05 : 00 AM - 01 : 00 PM

Friday 05 : 00 AM - 01 : 00 PM

Saturday 05 : 00 AM - 01 : 00 PM

Sunday 05 : 00 AM - 01 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the transportation facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and / or unusual activity.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and visitors as needed.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and / or identification as required by site procedures.
  • Remain alert and attentive to the surroundings while performing duties throughout the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
