Hartzell is seeking a detail-oriented Tube Bender who is responsible for bending, forming, and fabricating metal tubing used in aerospace applications according to precise engineering specifications and industry standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, adherence to strict quality standards, and compliance with aerospace industry regulations. The operator will work with a variety of metals, including aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel, ensuring precision bends that meet engineering and welding specifications. Key Deliverables of the Position

• Set up and operate manual, semi-automatic, or CNC tube bending machines (e.g., Crippa, UTE, Pines, Techno (Bend Pro 2)
• Read and interpret aerospace engineering blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Select appropriate tooling, dies, and mandrels for various tube sizes and materials (e.g., stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, aluminum).
• Measure, cut, and bend tubing to required angles and dimensions using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, protractors, height gauges).
• Perform hand fitting and adjustments as necessary to ensure tube alignment and fitment.
• Work with other departments (e.g., Quality, Engineering) to troubleshoot and resolve nonconforming products.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow all safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP).
