ER RN Job Details

Location : Nampa, Idaho (Zip : 83687) – Idaho nursing jobs

Facility : Emergency Room (Trauma Level IV, STEMI & Stroke Receiving Center)

Assignment Type : 13-week travel nursing contract (Start : 10 / 25 / 2025 – End : 1 / 24 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour evenings (3 : 30pm – 4 : 00am), every other weekend required

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1680 - $1800

Floating : May float to Meridian and Boise ERs (rare)

Charting System : EPIC

Orientation : 1 shift in the ER

ER RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Idaho or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience

Experience with pediatric patients in the ER setting

Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC

Strong ability to manage ED patient flow and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment

Excellent teamwork and communication skills

ER RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages in a busy emergency room

Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical protocols

Administer medications, manage emergency department drips, and perform conscious sedation

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Interpret cardiac monitor strips, perform EKGs, and respond to critical situations

Draw labs, initiate IVs, and provide clinical support as needed

Care for behavioral health patients in dedicated safe rooms

Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health record system

Support rapid room turnover and efficient patient flow in the ER

Float to other emergency departments within the health system as needed
