Job Summary
The Parent Outreach Coordinator assists the School Social Worker and the school site Administrative Team in developing a healthy school community culture and improving overall school attendance by building parent relationships and involvement in accordance with Aspire's mission, vision, and values. This is a 1-year grant-funded position.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate activities related to parents such as extracurricular activities and school student-sponsored events including fundraisers and promotions
- Manage and coordinate Tier 1 attendance initiatives (e.g., attendance awards, raffles / prizes, school-wide visuals)
- Manage rideshare platform in collaboration with the School Social Worker and Business Manager
- Manage and recruit on-campus parent volunteers
- Support parents with needs that advance their ability to support their children as scholars, including but not limited to parent trainings, food insecurity support, immigration support, parent complaints, resource location, parent advocacy, and support with technology and document completion
- Help the Administrative Team represent the school site in building an effective school community, including :
- Work with parents to better support their child / children's academic, behavioral, and social development
- Garner support from community groups and leaders in collaboration with the School Social Worker
- Develop positive relationships with external partnerships and host community partner events and workshops
- Work in collaboration with the Principal and Regional Student Services team to achieve site and organizational goals in accordance with state, county, and district authorizers
- Attend monthly CoP and co-develop agenda for CoP
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and support for, the Aspire mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
