Systems Engineer to support the In-Flight Interceptor Communications System (IFICS) Data Terminal product team on the Ground Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program. In this role the candidate will perform Systems Engineering functions such as requirements decomposition, hardware fault analysis, and hardware to software interface definition, and testing as part of the IDT product team.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal LawActive Secret Clearance requiredBachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college and 8+ years of experience Or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experiencePrior experience developing Test Plans and Test Procedures for DoD programsExperience working on Missile Defense systems or programsProficient with DOORS for requirements managementFamiliar with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools such as CameoPreferred Qualifications
