  • And much more!\n\nUnit Summary : \n\nOur Float RNs adapt to various acute care units throughout the hospital, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional patient care. The Float RN team delivers comprehensive direct patient care by applying the nursing process according to established standards.\n\nPosition Summary : \n
  • Administer medications, collect specimens, and provide clinical treatments following care plans.\n
  • Document patient care accurately.\n
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions appropriately to care teams, physicians, patients, and families.\n
  • Assist patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.\n
  • Coordinate comprehensive patient care, including transfers, discharges, and referrals while addressing spiritual and psychosocial needs.\n
  • Assess and address the educational needs of patients and families relevant to age, culture, and circumstances.\n
  • Act as an advocate for the patient's emotional and physical well-being.\n
  • Coordinate and supervise daily staffing assignments.\n
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to staff, and participate in performance evaluations.\n
  • Ensure quality service delivery and facilitate staff development programs while maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.\n
  • Address and resolve complex issues and patient complaints effectively.\n\nMinimum Qualifications : \n
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing, required\n
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred\n
  • Current RN license to practice in Kentucky\n
  • 2 years of critical care experience\n
