The Maintenance Mechanic reports to the Maintenance Manager. This member of the Distribution Center team performs facility and conveyor system maintenance. The individual must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and safely complete tasks in a timely manner.
Major Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- A Level 1 Mechanic is expected to have a basic understanding of electrical, mechanical and electronic components.
- Ability to preform assembly and testing of basic electrical, mechanical and electronic components
- Performs routine maintenance on tool, test equipment, etc.
- Capable of completing required service paperwork
- Identifies problems as they occur and suggest appropriate steps to solve them
- Track belts, replace motors, reducers, and conveyor parts
- Conduct daily system walks and identifies potential issues
- Follows all maintenance safety programs, for example, lock-out / tag-out, Hot Work, Fall Protection
- Monitor Sorter to ensure processes are running and the system is operating normally
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Performs general building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, painting, and mechanical.
Essential Skills :
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and all other related systems.Basic knowledge of conveyor systemsAble to use CMMS to track work orders & PMsAbility to use various hand and shop toolsBasic computer skills.Proficient with manual and electric hand tools.Basic understanding of welding and fabricatingCapable of operating lift equipment.Capable of basic troubleshooting any applicable building systems.Requirements :
