We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in San Francisco, California. This position is ideal for candidates with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles. You will play a vital role in supporting day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.

Responsibilities :

Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

Utilize Sage 100 to manage accounting activities and ensure proper data handling.

Export and analyze data using Microsoft Excel to support financial reporting processes.

Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely processing.

Assist with reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions.

Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and achieve operational goals.

Generate reports and provide insights to support decision-making processes.

Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with company policies.

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address accounting inquiries.

Requirements :

Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

Proficiency in Sage 100 for accounting tasks and data management.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data exporting and analysis.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Ability to prepare accurate journal entries and maintain financial records.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
