Health & Safety Consultant – PA State Police (Hybrid)
Location : Harrisburg, PA (Hybrid : State Police Headquarters, remote, and travel to worksites)

We are seeking a Health & Safety Consultant to support the Pennsylvania State Police. This hybrid role combines on-site work at State Police Headquarters, remote work, and travel to various worksites. The position is ideal for a safety professional who is adaptable, proactive, and committed to strengthening workplace safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the State Police Action Plan by setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and tracking progress.
- Develop and deliver health and safety trainings (in-person and via webinar), creating or adapting materials as needed.
- Conduct assessments and audits to ensure compliance with the Accident and Illness Prevention Program (AIPP) and agency policies.
- Analyze injury and incident data, prepare technical reports, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide support in areas such as injury / illness prevention, industrial hygiene, and AIPP compliance.
- Work independently to provide on-site health and safety support and guidance.
- Build strong relationships across the organization through clear communication, customer service, and collaboration.
- Travel to assigned worksites as needed.
Qualifications
Required :
One of the following :AIPP qualification with less than two years of occupational safety experience, ORAIPP qualification with at least two years of occupational safety experience, ORAt least two years of occupational safety experience while actively working toward an AIPP qualification (see : PA DLI AIPP Requirements).Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving client needs.Preferred :
Strong background in occupational safety, accident / illness prevention, or industrial hygiene.Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.Experience working with government agencies or large organizations.Benefits
