Our elite team is committed to excellence in spine care, pioneering innovative treatments that set us apart in the healthcare industry.\n\nOVERVIEW : \n\nThe Charge Nurse works closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Leadership Team to meet facility goals and objectives; ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies, applicable laws and standards; to maintain a positive and professional approach in all communications; to provide effective supervision of nursing staff; to represent the healthcare delivery team to ensure patient safety, quality care, and safe, efficient clinical operations by supporting effective patient care delivery systems.\n\nOVERALL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : \n

• The Charge Nurse will oversee the daily nursing staff of the facility under the direction of the DON and leadership team. The oversight will include, but is not limited to : supervision of staff, adherence to regulatory guidelines and rules; assisting in review and revision of policy and procedures; the Safety\n
• Program, and Emergency Preparation and Readiness; documentation compliance; medication management and safety; assisting in staff training, and education.\n
• Demonstrates initiative and ability to respond to and provide direction to patients, physicians, staff, and visitors in a professional manner in all situations including crises and emergency situations.\n
• Ensures medications are managed in a way to ensure safe storage and administration to minimize risk.\n
• Ensures appropriate patient emergency readiness, to include safe staffing patterns and management of training, equipment, and supplies to support effective response.\n
• Actively participates in the Quality Improvement program. Supports ongoing quality improvement and risk mitigation.\n
• Assists in Risk Management activities including root cause analysis on adverse events in conjunction with the leadership team as needed.\n
• Reviews, revises, and updates policies and procedures as needed with the support of the leadership team. Ensures policies match process to support compliance with appropriate regulations.\n
• Promotes a culture of safety within the facility.\n
• Investigates and attempts to resolve patient, visitor or employee complaints or concerns and reports to higher authority as appropriate.\n
• Assists the DON with regular staff meetings to communicate information to the employees of the facility.\n
• Performs other duties as needed to ensure the safety of all patients as well as the efficient operation of the facility.\n\nDAILY STAFF SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : \n
• Assists in the employment of qualified personnel to carry out the care and objectives in the facility\n
• Assists the DON through policies that support job functions and staff responsibilities\n
• Assists staff development by facilitating educational activities including annual training\n
• Encourages all staff in monitoring and reporting adverse events\n
• Ensures medications are ordered and managed appropriately\n
• Oversees and assists with inventory management of supplies for the Preop / PACU area\n
• Provides support and direction for staff during crisis or emergency situations\n
• Provides feedback to DON on staff performance, assisting in competency review\n
• Monitors productivity and efficiency of the employees and safety of the facility overall through performance and benchmarking indicators\n
• Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations to support staff safety\n\nSKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS (may include but are not limited to) : \n
• Current and active, unencumbered Registered Nursing License in the state of Georgia.\n
• Bachelor's degree in health-related or business field.\n
• Management experience in a medical environment, ASC experience preferred.\n
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.\n
• Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.\n
• Maintain complete and accurate facility records.\n
• Communicate and understand policies accurately.\n
• Support the facility operations with accountability and professional demeanor.\n
• Exhibit a sound clinical knowledge base.\n
• Leadership skills.\n
• Understanding of compliance with regulatory guidelines.\n
• Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships across the organization.
