We are seeking a RN for our Labor & Delivery departments at our Women's & Children's Building on our Newark Campus. You will have the opportunity to train in the following areas for this position : Labor & Delivery, High Risk OB, OB Peri-Op, and Antenatal. Also, once established in L&D you would have the opportunity to train in our OBGYN Emergency.

We support over 6,500 births annually and we aim to serve our community as partners in their care with love and excellence. As an RN at our facility, you will practice with a standard of nursing excellence by providing optimal outcomes for safe delivery of care for our Labor and Delivery patients and families.

Education and Experience Requirements :

BSN required or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire

Experience in women's & children's services preferred

Two years of Acute Care experience strongly preferred

Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware

BLS required.

Submission Requirements : DE or Compact License in hand, RN License# and exp date, Surg Tech must be certified, List of certs with exp dates including NRP, ALL RTO (Any request after initial submission will not be considered or approved)

2 Years of experience in specialty required; no exceptions

Interviews : Voice Advantage Interview Required Nurse Manager Screening / Interview Start Dates : 10 / 27 / 2025

Shift Times : 12 Days

Total # of Hours Per Week : 36 hours / week.

Call Requirement : No

Holiday Requirement : Yes

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Float requirement : Yes to areas within acuity

Common Diagnosis / Treatment : Labor, Induction of labor, Cesarean Section Delivery, External Cephalic Version, Fetal Demise and Intrauterine fetal death

Beds - 21-30

Nurse to Patient Ratio : 1 : 1;1 : 2;1 : 3 Charting : Cerner Scrub Color : Ceil Blue Scrubs Provided Areas of Float Support : Antenatal, High Risk, OB Triage, Postpartum Special Procedures : Labor, Induction of labor, Cesarean Section Delivery, External Cephalic Version, Fetal Demise and Intrauterine fetal death, Epidural management, Magnesium Sulfate Administration, Pitocin Titration, Insulin Drips.
