Good Harvest Market, Waukesha County's largest independently-owned and dedicated natural & organics grocer, is currently seeking to hire an Assistant Grocery Manager to work directly with our Grocery Manager / Purchasing Lead to lead and advance our Grocery Team.

This is a full-time opportunity that requires flexible availability and an ability to work a blend of daytime and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed. Our retail scheduling is based on the department needs.

This is a physical position requiring the frequent lifting of inventory, along with continuous standing, walking, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing. The right candidate should enjoy physical labor and be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

This is also a customer service focused role. All members of our team, but especially representatives of our management team, must be able to provide friendly service with a smile and have a genuine interest in learning about our products so they can best answer customer questions and help provide them with great service.

At least 2-3 years of relevant retail experience is required. Previous supervisory experience will be preferred, but we will train the right candidate.

Reports to : Grocery Manager / Purchasing Lead

Status : Full-Time, Non-exempt

Supervises : Grocery Clerks

Department : Grocery

Purpose : To work with the Grocery Manager / Purchasing Lead to supervise grocery clerks, ensuring proper training and guidance to meet store objectives and mission standards, while also overseeing the selection, pricing and promotion of products to meet store objectives for sales, margin, labor, and customer service.
