The Assistant School-age teacher will assist in planning and carrying out a daily program designed to meet the physical and developmental needs of a group of children ages 6 - 12. This person needs to be sensitive to the needs of individual children and relate well to both the children and adults.
Responsibilities :
- collaborate with other lead teacher in planning, scheduling, and implementing the daily program of appropriate developmental experiences for a classroom group of children.
- Help plan and implement field trip experiences.
- Able to drive a 14-passenger van.
- Maintain a physical environment conducive to children's growth and development and arrange to promote optimal program functioning.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, conferences, workshops, and other career development and professional activities.
- Complete continuing education hours per State and program requirements each year.
- Assure that equipment and materials are accessible, appropriate, and in good condition.
- Perform classroom-related and other maintenance duties as requested.
- Maintain a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere for staff and children.
Requirements :
Must be at least 20 years of ageMust have an excellent driving recordAble to work between the hours of 7 : 00 - 5 : 30 -4 days a week or split shift 7 : 30 - 9 : 00 and 2 : 00 - 5 : 30.Must complete a full background check including fingerprinting through the Nebraska State Patrol1 year of experience working in a structured childcare program preferred.#hc192877
