Key Responsibilities

Provide primary health care services to students, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention

Collaborate with Student Health Services physicians to incorporate medical services within professional parameters

May be required to work during university closings or remotely as directed by a supervisor

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Completion of an educational program leading to licensure and certification as a nurse practitioner; Master's degree in nursing or a health-related field

Licensed and certified, or eligible for licensing / certification, as a nurse practitioner in Virginia

Knowledge of the primary health care nurse practitioner's scope of practice

Demonstrated clinical skills for providing acute, chronic, and preventive health care

Experience in an interdisciplinary collaborative setting
