About the Role :

  • As a Staff Accountant at Landing , you’ll play an active role in shaping the financial foundation of a fast-growing startup.
  • You’ll collaborate closely with our Operations, Finance, and Accounting teams to own key responsibilities like balance sheet and P&L reviews.
  • More than just day-to-day accounting, this role puts you at the center of building and evolving new processes that scale with the business.

    • What You’ll Do :

  • Drive the timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities, supporting key business decisions with up-to-date financials.
  • Analyze monthly P&L data to verify correct accounting treatment, providing clear variance explanations to department leadership.
  • Manage partner payouts with precision, ensuring accurate and timely disbursements in line with revenue share agreements.
  • Lead the development and enhancement of partner reporting processes, supporting automation efforts to improve scalability and efficiency.
  • Conduct internal audits and validation checks to ensure the accuracy of monthly revenue share calculations and maintain system integrity.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and manage monthly accruals, playing an essential role in the month-end close process.
  • Own bank account and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting.

    • What You Need :

  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience (project accounting a plus.) B.S. or B.A. degree in accounting or business-related degree or equivalent work experience Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.
  • Attention to detail, problem solving and troubleshooting skills are essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
  • Must thrive in a teamwork setting and have excellent organizational skills.

    • Advanced Excel skills CPA is a plus but not required Benefits & Perks :
