Construction Project Manager

Job Description

Key responsibilities :

  • Manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through close-out.
  • Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure timely, budget-conscious project delivery.
  • Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, contracts, and schedules.
  • Create and maintain project schedules using tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and purchase orders.
  • Track project costs, forecasts, and profitability using construction management software.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients, designers, and field teams to monitor progress and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards across all sites.
  • Mentor junior staff and assist in project staffing and resource planning.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager for a General Contractor.
  • Proven success in managing fast-paced commercial projects including :
  • QSR / Fast-Casual Restaurants (e.g., Raising Cane's, Chick-fil-A)
  • Self-storage buildings
  • Large-format grocery stores
  • Data centers or mission-critical facilities
  • Strong working knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and field operations.
  • Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
  • PMP or similar certifications a plus.
