Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Cardiac Sonographer Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 10 / 20 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Location : Tulsa, Oklahoma Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM, with on-call rotation Job Summary As a Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist at Saint Francis Health System, you will play a critical role in providing diagnostic cardiac and / or vascular ultrasound services. Your work will directly assist cardiologists in diagnosing and treating patients by providing accurate measurements and images of cardiac structures. A key part of your responsibility includes delivering timely feedback and preliminary reports on critical results to healthcare staff, which is essential for life-saving interventions. You will also assist physicians during complex procedures in various settings, including the OR, Hybrid lab, Cath lab, and CAD, for procedures such as TAVR, SAVR, Tandem heart, and Lariet. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced cardiac and / or peripheral vascular procedures with a high degree of technical skill and judgment, including adult and pediatric cardiac ultrasound procedures , TEE, and stress echocardiograms. Operate ultrasound equipment and ancillary devices to obtain optimal diagnostic recordings and utilize digital networking systems. Review patient data and reports to ensure all necessary information is available before procedures. Use independent judgment to notify physicians of abnormal results and report findings to the cardiologist. Assist physicians with complex, high-risk procedures to ensure patient safety and procedural success. Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation of all procedures according to departmental and hospital policy. Efficiently process patient charges and other necessary administrative data. Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain departmental efficiency by anticipating needs for equipment and supplies. Engage in continuous professional development and maintain current competency and registry with the ARDMS or CCI. Comply with all hospital and departmental policies, including those related to infection control and patient, visitor, and personnel safety. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills by working effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Required Qualifications Experience : At least six (6) months of related experience. Skills : Ability to work independently and apply critical thinking skills. Excellent communication skills to effectively relay cardiac ultrasound results to surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare staff. Ability to serve in an on-call rotation after regular business hours. Education : High School Diploma or GED. Certifications & Licensure : Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) , OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) . Current BLS certification.
