Revenue Accountant

Location : Hybrid in Seattle, WA

Contract Type : Contract-to-Hire

Compensation : Competitive market rate (Estimated range : $80,000–$100,000 annually DOE)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accountant for a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity in Seattle, WA . This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong technical accounting skills and experience managing revenue recognition, billing, and financial reporting. The Revenue Accountant will ensure accurate revenue tracking, compliance with GAAP, and support month-end and quarter-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Record, reconcile, and analyze revenue transactions in accordance with GAAP and company policy

Monitor accounts receivable, deferred revenue, and unbilled revenue balances

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations

Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition

Prepare revenue reports and schedules for management and external audits

Assist in implementation and maintenance of revenue accounting policies and procedures

Review contracts and billing arrangements to ensure proper recognition of revenue

Support ad hoc financial analysis and process improvement initiatives

Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3+ years of accounting experience, with focus on revenue recognition preferred

Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition standards (ASC 606)

Proficiency in Excel and ERP / accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)

Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams

CPA designation preferred, but not required

Schedule :

Hybrid work model (3 days onsite in Seattle, 2 days remote per week)
