As a Principal Gameplay Engineer at Eleventh Hour Games, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of EHG. Youll be responsible for architecting systems, guiding engineers across gameplay and tools, and ensuring technical excellence throughout the pipeline.

You will collaborate closely with design, art, and production teams to deliver innovative, performant, and scalable solutions. You will assist the Development Director in mentoring engineers, establish best practices, and help bridge high-level vision with hands-on engineering. The ideal candidate thrives in complex problem-solving, has deep expertise, and brings strong communication skills to drive collaboration across a fully remote, global team.

Responsibilities :

• Play a key part in engineering efforts across core systems, gameplay features, tools, and pipelines
• Partner with design and art leadership to translate creative vision into technical solutions
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, workflows, and best practices
• Provide technical mentorship to engineers, driving code quality and professional growth
• Define performance targets and corresponding benchmarks
• Architect scalable systems to support complex gameplay
• Serve as a key technical partner to studio leadership, contributing to long-term strategy and planning
• Review, evaluate, and improve engineering practices across the studio to ensure efficiency and sustainability
