About DTMB
The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
Position Overview
Senior Level analyst position that also acts as a subject matter expert (SME) and provides experienced level staff with advanced or escalated support for the Client Service Center. This position must function with minimal direct supervision and requires a high degree of direct contact with client agency program managers and directors as well as Infrastructure Services Management and the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) on major IT projects.
Responsibilities
- Creating and validating Knowledgebase articles for use by CSC staff in providing helpdesk support.
- Working with Infrastructure and Agency Services on IT projects and gathering necessary information to provide procedural direction for support agents.
- Work closely with both the Foundational Infrastructure Services group and Michigan Security Operations Center group on ongoing support work and participating with IT Projects which enables us to gather information.

Signing Bonus
Eligibility for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.

Education
Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following : computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.Possession of an Associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, project management, or mathematics.Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, information technology technician, or four years (8,320 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement.Experience
For Information Technology Programmer / Analyst level 11 : No specific type or amount is required.For level 12 : Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer / Analyst P11.For level 11-12 : Two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician; or two years (4,160 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement.Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certifications
