Job description :

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Services Developer to support the migration of Informatica PowerCenter 8.1.1 to the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform.

This role will be part of a Philadelphia critical modernization initiative, helping transition on-premise ETL processes to a secure, scalable cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support migration activities from  Informatica PowerCenter 8.1.1  to  IDMC Cloud .
  • Perform repository backups and create test environments using production server images.
  • Rebuild Informatica mappings, workflows, and sequences on the IDMC platform.
  • Conduct repository cleanup and metadata creation on the cloud server.
  • Validate migrated repositories to ensure completeness and performance.
  • Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to City Informatica administrators and developers.
  • Track and report total hours worked and remaining weekly, ensuring compliance with the project’s maximum budget.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience with  Informatica PowerCenter  (especially version 8.1.1).
  • Expertise in  Informatica migration and upgrade projects .
  • Strong background in  ETL process design, testing, and deployment .
  • Proficiency in  SQL  and  data modeling concepts .
  • Ability to define  hardware specifications  for Informatica environments.
  • Familiarity with  workflow scheduling, monitoring, and performance best practices .
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, including the ability to train others.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Informatica Certified Professional (ICP)  credential.
  • Hands-on experience with  legacy Informatica versions (8.1.1 or earlier) .
  • Experience with  performance tuning  in cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Prior experience in  government or enterprise data migration  projects.

    • Project Details

  • Contract Duration :  5 months ( with potential to be extended)
  • Interview Format :  1–2 rounds via video call (Skype or similar).
  • Location Flexibility :  Phelidalpha / Hybrid / Full remote is available
  • Extension :  highly probable, based on project needs and performance.
