Mechanical Engineering

Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a Mechanical Engineering to join our Facility Engineering Division in Plainville, CT. This provides hands-on experience in mechanical system design for a variety of building types, working within our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) team. Interns will support the design and development of HVAC, plumbing, and energy systems for commercial, institutional, and public-sector facilities.

What You'll Do

• Assist with the design and layout of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Support the preparation of construction drawings and specifications
• Conduct field surveys of existing building systems and document findings
• Perform basic engineering calculations under supervision
• Use AutoCAD, Revit, and other design and modeling tools
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on real project deliverables
• Participate in team meetings and client coordination as needed
