JOB SUMMARY
Provides a range of psychological screening and assessments, diagnostic and therapeutic services for individuals, couples, groups and / or families in the outpatient clinic setting. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, on-going individual and / or group therapy, related documentation and community referrals as indicated.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provide behavioral / mental health screenings, initial assessments and treatment plans for patients referred from other RHC clinicians, and the community at large.
- Provides clinical therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults and families, including individual, couple and family therapy, in person as well as via telemedicine visits.
- Maintain accurate and timely progress notes and other documentation required for the patient electronic medical record (EMR).
- Provides both routine consultation and emergency psychological first aid and assistance in the outpatient clinics when crisis situations arise.
- Assumes responsibility for remaining current in job-related knowledge and skills and continuing education and licensure requirements.
- Maintains a current state license.
- Participate in quality initiatives and utilization review activities as requested.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the primary care providers to improve health outcomes.
- Facilitate referrals to other services (e.g., substance abuse treatment, specialty care, and community resources) as needed.
- Provides training to other clinicians, as needed, on psychological and emotional symptom identification, initial screenings and referrals to behavioral health services.
- Consistently communicates in a professional and courteous manner.

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Counseling or other behavioral health related field.
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) (Licensed in Texas)
OR
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) (Licensed in Texas)One year of experience providing short-term, evidence-based counseling in a clinic, hospital, community agency or private practice, preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
