MS Float Pool RN Aspirus St Lukes Duluth MN

  • Contract Length : 13 weeks- Sunday end date
  • Start Date : 12 / 1
  • Guaranteed Hours Per Week : 36 or 48 hrs
  • Shift Requirements : 12 hr Variables Day and Night week rotation
  • Float Requirements : Float to like units
  • On Call / Call Back Requirements : NA
  • Weekend / Holiday Requirements : 2 out of 4 weekends. Every other holiday
  • Required Certifications : MN RN License, BLS
  • Minimum Experience : 1 year minimal MS experience in short term acute care hospital setting- 1 travel assignment
  • Charting Experience : Epic Preferred
  • Unit Information : Medical Surgical Float Pool MS, Neuro, Gen Surgery / Ortho, Mental Health , Cardiac
  • Primary experience :

    • Identifies patient condition; records and communicates deviations from normal. Posts pertinent health care team members.

  • . Identifies patient / family expectations and educational needs and communicates priorities.
  • Initiates discharge planning.
  • Incorporates information obtained and presented by others; ensures appropriate follow up. Skilled at assessment and knowledgeable of growth and development. Provides appropriate care respective to the ages of the patients served per clinical environment.
  • Oversees care of the stroke and / or cardiac patient, ensuring Core Measures are in place unless contraindicated, reporting patient concerns to the physician
  • Recognizes signs and symptoms of abuse and reports per policy.
  • Participates in purposeful nursing rounds according to patient need, incorporating the 7 Ps of rounding.
  • Recognizes and reports abnormal diagnostic data.
  • Chooses correct supplies in providing patient care and utilizes PAR system.
  • Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates : Able to manage independently and complete tasks timely
  • Scrub Colors : Royal Blue

    • GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.

    Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
