Litigation Attorney

Job Overview :

A nationally recognized personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its Plantation, Florida office. This role is ideal for a trial-tested attorney who can independently manage a high-volume caseload from pre-suit through trial. The firm handles a wide range of personal injury matters, including auto accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, and mass tort litigation. The selected candidate will be expected to take cases to verdict and play a critical leadership role in litigation strategy and case execution.

Location : Plantation, Florida

Duties :

Initiate and manage litigation for personal injury cases in both state and federal court

Conduct client meetings and case assessments

Draft and respond to written discovery

Schedule and take fact and expert witness depositions

Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses

Handle all court appearances, including motion hearings and case management conferences

Lead mediations and settlement negotiations

Prepare for and serve as first chair in jury trials

Draft post-trial motions and appellate filings as needed

Participate in firm meetings, internal audits, and trial preparation clinics

Requirements :

Active license to practice law in Florida (in good standing)

Minimum of two jury trials served as first-chair attorney

Proven track record of successful litigation outcomes

Ability to manage a full docket with autonomy and efficiency

Demonstrated leadership in supervising litigation support staff

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Education :

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications : Skills :

Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills

Strong negotiation and mediation capabilities

Persuasive courtroom presence and confident oral advocacy

Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly to clients and jurors

Proficiency in legal technology and case management software
