Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a night shift role requiring ARRT, BLS, and active Illinois license with experience in adult acute care and emergency settings.

Responsibilities

  • Position is based in a small critical access hospital
  • Night shift schedule of four 10-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday, from 8 : 00 PM to 6 : 30 AM
  • Every third weekend required
  • CT technologist also performs radiography exams during evening shifts
  • Adult acute care, outpatient, and emergency department patient populations
  • Required to perform abdomen, pelvis, chest, vascular, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT scans with and without contrast
  • Utilizes Cerner for charting and EMR
  • No floating required during assignment
  • CT technologist covers both CT and general radiography responsibilities during evening shifts
  • Scrubs in any solid color may be worn
  • Parking permit is required but provided at no cost to the employee
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Up to 5 days of non-holiday requested time off will be automatically approved; more requires facility approval
  • Must work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays if scheduled
  • Returning travelers must have a minimum 12-month separation if previously employed by Memorial
  • Modules and onboarding must be completed virtually on the first day

    • Requirements

  • ARRT and BLS certification required
  • Active Illinois state license required at start; license required if applicable
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in CT required
  • Experience in adult acute care, outpatient, and ED settings required
  • Demonstrated experience with 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurements
  • Skilled in preparing and administering contrast media and following radiation safety protocols
  • Must be able to perform isolation precautions
