Title Clerk

The Title Clerk is responsible for managing the vehicle titling and registration process for our fleet. The ideal candidate will bring dealership experience and a strong understanding of title processing, DMV requirements, and vehicle documentation. You'll play a key role in ensuring accuracy and compliance in all vehicle records and title transactions.
Title Clerk Key Responsibilities :
- Process vehicle titles and registrations for new, used, and leased equipment
- Handle title transfers, lien releases, and corrections in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Prepare and submit title paperwork to appropriate state agencies (DMV, SOS, etc.)
- Maintain accurate records of titles, registrations, MSOs, and other documentation
- Work closely with sales, procurement, and fleet departments to ensure timely titling of all vehicles
- Track and follow up on pending titles and registrations to ensure deadlines are met
- Respond to inquiries from internal teams and external agencies regarding title status
- Ensure compliance with DOT, IFTA, and IRP requirements when applicable
- Assist with fleet audits and provide documentation as requested
- Identify process improvements and support implementation of best practices
Qualifications :
24 years of title experience in a dealership environment is requiredKnowledge of vehicle title regulations across multiple states (IL and neighboring states preferred)Strong understanding of dealership forms, MSO / MCO processing, and DMV submissionsExperience with title processing software or dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds)Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skillsStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work independently and in a team settingFamiliarity with trucking or fleet management is a plus, but not requiredWhy Join Us :
