Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse

Job Description

Title : RN – PICU

Location : Oklahoma City. OK

Duration : 13 weeks

Schedule : Night 3x12 hours

Hourly Blended Pay Rate : $70.00 – $75.00

Certifications & Licensure (Required) :

RN License – Valid in Oklahoma or compact / multistate (eNLC).

BLS – Basic Life Support (American Heart Association).

PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA).

Qualifications :

Education (Required) : Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.

Education (Preferred) : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Experience : Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a hospital setting.

Skills :

Strong knowledge of nursing theory & practice

Ability to plan, evaluate, and coordinate care

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Basic computer proficiency

Culturally competent care

Roles & Responsibilities :

Provide direct patient care for a variety of conditions (simple to complex).

Monitor, document, and respond to patient conditions and treatments.

Administer medications, IVs, and blood products.

Assist physicians with exams and minor procedures.

Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.

Delegate tasks to support staff and coordinate with the care team.

Perform other duties as assigned.
