Join Our Team as a Travel Physical Therapist (PT)!

Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of patients while exploring new places? At Fusion Medical Staffing , we’re looking for a passionate and skilled Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for a rewarding 13-week assignment in beautiful Beckley, West Virginia .

About the Role

As a Travel Physical Therapist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with physical impairments to enhance their mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life. You’ll develop personalized rehabilitation plans and work closely with a dedicated healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for your patients.

Your Responsibilities Will Include :

  • Evaluating patients’ physical conditions through standardized tests and clinical examinations.
  • Creating tailored rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
  • Implementing effective treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and alleviate pain.
  • Operating specialized physical therapy equipment safely and effectively.
  • Documenting evaluations, interventions, and outcomes accurately in medical records.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Educating patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies.
  • Maintaining a safe treatment environment by adhering to safety protocols.
  • Engaging in professional development to stay current with best practices.
  • Participating in discharge planning for smooth transitions to home or community settings.

What We’re Looking For : Required Qualifications :

  • Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA / ARC).

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Doctorate degree in physical therapy.
  • Experience in physical therapy (New Grads are welcome to apply).
  • Additional certifications or licenses may be required.

    • Essential Skills :

  • Strong critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Proficiency in PC skills and following verbal instructions.
  • Physical Abilities : Ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50-100 lbs), and assist with procedures.
  • Mental Requirements : Ability to cope with public interactions and work under pressure.
  • Sensory : Visual acuity and effective communication skills.
