Description

Brock & Scott, PLLC is seeking an Attorney to join handle bankruptcy, foreclosure and eviction matter that is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Alabama. In this role, the attorney will work closely with support staff to draft and review documentation for bankruptcy, foreclosure and eviction cases, while managing the full scope of the bankruptcy, foreclosure and eviction process.. Court appearances throughout Alabama may be required.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Represent creditors in bankruptcy, foreclosure, and eviction proceedings.
  • Review required notices, correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Efficiently prepare and respond to written inquiries or disputes.
  • Attend and present motions and hearings before Alabama courts.
  • Participate in mediation sessions.
  • Advise clients through all stages of the bankruptcy, foreclosure and eviction process.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Admission to the bar in Alabama (State, Federal, and Bankruptcy courts) with CM / ECF filing credentials.
  • Minimum of two years' experience representing creditors in bankruptcy, foreclosure, and eviction matters.
  • Strong knowledge of secured creditor issues.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and with senior management.
