Job Title : Registered Nurse – Med-Surg Telemetry (RN – MS / Tele)

Location : Des Moines, Iowa

Shift : Day Shift (3x12 – 36 hours / week)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Med-Surg Tele RN for a day shift position in Des Moines, IA . This role combines the dynamic environment of medical-surgical care with the continuous monitoring and critical thinking required in telemetry nursing. Ideal for RNs looking to grow their skills while providing high-quality, patient-focused care.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide direct nursing care to adult patients with acute medical conditions

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and vital signs

Administer medications and manage IV therapies

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans

Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions

Document all care accurately in the EMR

Job Requirements

Requirements :

Active Iowa RN license or compact state license

1–2 years of Med-Surg or Telemetry nursing experience preferred

BLS certification required ; ACLS preferred

Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation

Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Ability to work 36 hours / week on day shifts (3x12s)
