We are looking for a Senior Product Designer I who is passionate about creating trusted, cohesive, and user-obsessed AI experiences.
As a Senior Product Designer I at DigitalOcean, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to building our growing suite of copilots. You will be the design lead for this strategic product area, working closely with a new Product Manager and an expanding engineering team. You'll ensure copilots are not just viable, but essential experiences that make users flock to DigitalOcean.
What You'll Do :
Lead design for copilot initiatives across DigitalOcean products, ensuring consistent and trusted user experiences.
Partner with the Copilots PM and engineering to translate strategy into prototypes, flows, and UI patterns.
Drive end-to-end design work : discovery, research integration, prototyping, visual / interaction design, and launch support.
Define and document reusable copilot patterns and contribute to the design system.
Use research and data to shape decisions, measure success, and iterate quickly.
Key Metrics :
Increased adoption and usage of copilot features across products.
Measurable improvements in user trust and satisfaction.
Reduced time-to-outcome for users completing key tasks with copilots.
System-wide design consistency across copilot experiences.
What You'll Add to DigitalOcean :
4+ years of product design experience with complex, multi-surface applications.
Demonstrated ability to lead significant design components from concept to launch.
Strong visual and interaction design skills, with experience building scalable patterns.
Experience designing for AI-powered or data-driven product experiences preferred.
Excellent collaboration skills with PMs, engineers, and researchers.
Clear communication of design decisions tied to customer and business outcomes.

The salary range for this position is between $88,000 - $110,000 based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance. We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees, including equity grants upon hire and the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
