Director of Architecture

Nelson + Pope is seeking a qualified Director of Architecture to work in our Melville, New York office. The work includes retail, restaurant, hospitality, residential, industrial, municipal, commercial ground up and interior renovation projects.

Responsibilities / Top Skills / Qualifications :

• design, permit, construction and bid documents
• presentation drawings, renderings, sketches and interior design boards
• review and interpret building codes for implementation
• assign and manage staff design tasks
• coordination with other disciplines on team
• client coordination
• review of construction submittals, RFIs
• proficient in AutoCAD
• proficient in Microsoft Office
• accredited bachelor’s degree in Architecture
• good verbal communication, written communication, and organizational skills

Salary Range : $125K to $185K
